Ask-A-Librarian

E-mail reference service that provides quick answers to simple questions. In-depth research questions cannot be adequately answered in this service. We answer questions as quickly as possible. However, questions sent on an evening, weekend, or holiday will be answered on the next business day.

Bibliographic Instruction

The librarians provide Library/Bibliographic Instruction in the library during regular semesters. Sessions are organized by the instructors of regular classes, such as English. These sessions are intended to build library use skills which contribute to college success. To schedule an appointment, or for an individual, personalized tour of the library, call Jackie Rambo at (903) 983-8239.

Circulation

Generally, students may checkout up to five items at one time for a two week period. Fines are 25¢ per day per overdue item. Fines for late DVDs are $5 per day. You may renew your books one time, for five days under certain conditions, in person, by telephone: (903)983-8237, or online.

InterLibrary Loan Service

If you can't find an article or book, you may request these through our InterLibrary Loan Service.

Internet Use

Students must comply with the Randolph C. Watson Library Internet Use Policy. Violators of the policy may be barred from using the library computers for a semester.

Microfiche/Microfilm readers

A combination microfiche/microfilm reader is available on the second floor of the library. This machine is fragile and temperamental. Please handle with care and ask library staff for assistance when needed.

Photocopiers

There is a copier in the library for general use and is located on the secod floor. Photocopies are 10¢ per page. You may put money on your print account at the Circulation Desk.

Printing

Printing can be done from the computers located within the Library and the Bone Learning Center Computer Lab. This service is open to all currently enrolled Kilgore College students, faculty, and staff. Visitors may print from the downstairs computers. Items printed must comply with the Library's Acceptable Use Policy. Items that are illegal or unacceptable should not be printed. In the case of illegal items, the campus police will be notified.

Reserves

Instructors place books, articles, and other materials on limited checkout reserve at the Circulation Desk. Students may use items that are on reserve only in the library.

TexShare Card Program

Available to all patrons in good standing at their participating home library.
